Legal Compliance & Age Verification
Scarsdale Wine & Spirits sells alcoholic beverages in accordance with New York State Alcoholic Beverage Control Law.
By placing an order for delivery, you represent and warrant that:
• You are at least 21 years of age
• The recipient is at least 21 years of age
• You authorize age verification upon delivery
All alcohol deliveries require:
✅ Adult (21+) present
✅ Valid government-issued photo ID
✅ In-person signature at delivery
Alcohol cannot legally be left unattended, delivered to minors, or released without age verification.
Orders failing age verification will be returned to the store.
Minimum Order Requirement
Local delivery is available within our service area for orders meeting a $150 minimum subtotal, exclusive of tax, fees, or gratuity.
Delivery eligibility is determined automatically based on ZIP code.
Delivery Scheduling & Routing
Local deliveries are fulfilled using scheduled geographic delivery routes.
Orders are typically delivered within 1 to 3 business days after order confirmation.
Because routes are optimized daily:
• Exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed
• Requested delivery times are not binding
• Delivery windows are estimates only
Customers will receive notification when orders are scheduled for delivery.
Recipient Responsibilities
The customer assumes responsibility for ensuring:
• A qualified adult (21+) is available during delivery
• Accurate address and contact information are provided
• Building access instructions are supplied where applicable
Drivers are not permitted to wait extended periods or make repeated access attempts.
Missed Delivery & Redelivery Policy
If delivery cannot be completed due to:
• No adult present
• Invalid identification
• Incorrect address
• Refused delivery
• Restricted building access
The order will be returned to Scarsdale Wine & Spirits.
The following may apply:
• Redelivery fee
• Route rescheduling delay
• Restocking fee for cancelled orders
After repeated failed delivery attempts, orders may be cancelled at management discretion.
Delivery Conditions & Limitations
For legal and safety reasons:
• Deliveries cannot be made to P.O. Boxes
• Orders cannot be rerouted once dispatched
• Alcohol may not be released to doormen or third parties unless age verification occurs
• Drivers may decline delivery if intoxication is suspected
Title and ownership of goods transfer to the purchaser upon lawful delivery.
Weather, Safety & Operational Delays
Delivery schedules may be modified due to weather events, road conditions, or operational constraints beyond our control.
Scarsdale Wine & Spirits reserves the right to reschedule deliveries when necessary to ensure driver safety and product integrity.
